Trei Ramsey

Trei Ramsey is a self-taught, multidisciplinary visual artist that lives and works in Washington DC. His art is influenced by a lifetime of pop-culture consumption, Anime, cartoons, world mythology, and western art history. Ramsey loves to play with vivid color and graphic figurative compositions to question the worlds and systems presented to him throughout his life as Black male growing up in the southeastern United States. His work is approachable and may appear simple on initial viewing, however subsequent views reveal a strong viewpoint and a deeper message.
