Paty Húrsas

Paty Húrsas is an artist based in Washington County and Mobile County, Alabama who works with photographic art, painting, and mixed media. She draws inspiration from not only her Mexican and Choctaw cultures, but also from surviving true crime, mental health, and the macabre in general. Paty Húrsas has been featured in exhibitions at PRAXIS Photo Art Center (Minneapolis, MI), Central Arts Collective (Mobile, AL), and others. She explores woodsy and colorful juxtapositions with contrast shadows and dramatic lighting. Through her art, she wishes to explore the beauty of nature, the feelings of isolation and desolation, and her unique perspective of reality.
