By exploring the places and sounds associated with the alienation of latino immigrants to the US, she hopes to uncover what creates visual disorientation or understanding. The term Americanization is what pushes her to photograph with tenderness, affection, but also discomfort.

Kelly Nano-Miranda is a Peruvian-American, photographer who works in Brooklyn, NY and is from the East End of Long Island. She received a BA in Studio Art with a concentration in Photography from Wesleyan University in Middletown CT.
