My name is Ndumiso Mabila, a self-taught documentary photographer from Eswatini, born on April 30, 1999. My passion for photography was ignited at a young age and nurtured by my family, a lineage of photographers.

Primarily working in Eswatini and Mozambique, my work focuses on capturing the essence of life's untold stories. Each photograph I take signifies a silent narrative, a moment frozen in time that speaks volumes. This passion for storytelling is what led me into the realm of documentary photography, an endeavor that has educated me on the myriad experiences of people across different walks of life.

Currently, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Education in Business Education at the University of Eswatini. Though it may seem unrelated to my craft, I believe that education is a lifelong journey that enriches all aspects of one's life, including their art.

Over the years, my work has been recognized and exhibited at the Yebo Art Gallery in Ezulwini, Eswatini. I have had the privilege of collaborating with Amnesty International on several occasions, extending my reach as a visual storyteller. I have also worked as a photographer for the Campaign for Free Expression, a Johannesburg-based NGO. This role allowed me the opportunity to shed light on human rights violations in Eswatini, using my lens to bring attention to these pressing issues.

What keeps me behind the camera is the constant urge to tell untold stories. Photography to me is more than just capturing beautiful images; it's about revealing the truth, evoking emotion, and inciting change. It's about giving a voice to the voiceless and bringing to light the stories that often go unnoticed.

Looking ahead, I am determined to use my photography as a catalyst for change. The goal is to reach a point where I can mentor aspiring photographers, passing on the skills and knowledge I've acquired. I hope to inspire them to view the world through a lens of empathy and curiosity, just as I do.
