I was born in Bloemfontein, South Africa, and was fortunate to have been raised on a farm, where the carefree lifestyle and freedom to explore molded my creative spirit. My exceptionally talented mother, always busy with one or other art form, inspired me from a very young age to experiment with art and various crafts.
After I graduated from high school and finished my studies I moved to London for 2 years. In 2006 I moved back to South Africa and started a career in sales.
In 2008 I got married and I also decided to steer my career interest in yet another direction. I studied part time and received my accreditations allowing me to consult as a Finance and Insurance Business Manager. This position taught me a lot but also consumed me.
I was blessed with my 2 beautiful boys in 2011 and 2014. In 2014 I started a sideline venture as a Early Childcare Development Centre with four babies and one caretaker. This center grew so fast and in 3 years it accommodated 56 children and I employed 15 personnel. At the center I had again the chance to let my creativity run free and I loved every moment of it.
In 2018 my husband accepted a position in Germany and we packed up everything and moved to a small town south of Frankfurt, Germany. I suddenly experienced a pivot point in my life. From an crazy 24/7 routine to an absolute halt. I was now a stay at home mom. Taking care of the household, my two boys and ever supporting husband. I had time to reflect for the first time. During lockdown 2020 I started painting and drawing with my boys for fun and I just felt so much joy.
I am still learning everyday through experimenting with various tools, mediums and ideas.
