Jessica Ziegler is a New York City based artist working in oils, watercolor and pastel.  She is a realist painter whose work explores the interaction of the natural and built environments, and on revealing 'small moments' of stillness and beauty amidst the often chaotic visual landscape of the city.

Biography

Jessica is a New York City native who left a career in technology in 2016 to become a professional artist.  Coming from a family of artists, she credits her mother, a painter, for her strong sense of light and color; and credits her father, the architect and sculptor,  for her appreciation of 3 dimensional form and the built environment. 

Jessica studied drawing and painting in a number of art schools in New York, including the New York Academy of Art, the Art Students League, the 92nd Street Y, and the New York School of art.
