As a dance artist, I aim to create a cohesive dance language that embodies other movement languages. Incorporating diverse bodies into my choreography, I intend to reconstruct the viewer's historical concept that only one type of body can be a Dance body, transmit a message, and hold an emotion that receives an emotional response that the viewer can relate.   By observing everyday images' impact on the human body, I strive that this language of movement communicates a cultural and social message to the audience. By isolating human and object movements but never showing the complete structure, I can create new sequences that reveal the inseparable relationship between motion and imagery. As a dance artist, I plan to create choreography, engage people in thinking about movement, engage their minds in expressing what dance is, and transform and create community.

A sample of sculptural work I do representing the body. Along side much of my work I incorporate somatic movements. Sculptors are included in the pieces or as invitations to engage.
