Paul Cannon

I grew up in Surrey but always had a fascination with London and UK northern industrial cities. As a boy in the early 1980s, heavy industry in the UK was on the decline, leaving windswept wastelands and derelict structures. My fascination in these abandoned areas led me to start making my fictitious industrial landscapes and eventually Newarke. This is a place where I let my imagination run wild. It's a port city situated on two major rivers. I have drawn a street map, designed a subway system and draw landscapes as I see them from ground level. This is my great escape from the real World.
