Ezgi Bıçakcı is a carbon-based storyteller from Turkey. She got her BA in printmaking. She showcased her art in Germany, Spain, London, Turkey, and China. She got her master's in printmaking, now she is in her 5th year of studying proficiency in art. Ezgi wrote her master's thesis about early comic book history. She is currently working on her second thesis in the field. She works as a freelancer storyteller.  Ezgi was born into an artistic family. Her father is a photographer, he taught her how to chase the light. Since then she's been trying to capture the light with different mediums.
Ezgi's work usually revolves around human emotions and the psychology of communicating. Ezgi is fascinated by psychology studies and she explores how the mind works with her art.
She is currently working on a new series: stitched comics on canvases. Ezgi started the stitch canvas comic project because of a sexist comment a professor made about her. They insinuated that "She can sew real nice since she is a woman" while she was assisting another professor to fix their paper-making screen. So Ezgi adopted their back-handed compliment and made it her own by stitching comics on canvases "like a woman" so this is her feminist take on contemporary art. She stands strong by intentionally playing into the gender roles with the pursuit of the oxymoron.
