The painting was created in acrylic on canvas, mounted as a floating frame ready to hang.
This painting was inspired by the Mountain of Light in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. When I was younger, I used to hear & read stories about this mountain, where 1400 years ago the greatest man, my hero, the greatest of all mankind, Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him), used to climb it frequently. He received his first revelation from the Creator himself Allah (Elohim, The Glorified and Exalted he is), the Lord of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus, through his Archangel Jibrael (Gabriel) in the Mountain of Light.
In 2005, when I was a young teenager performing my minor pilgrimage, my parents wanted to show us the tour to see The Mountain of Light, right infant of me in my own eye. I've never seen such a lovely and spectacular mountain; it's not ordinary mountain, but a beautiful and melts in my heart. And I hoped to one day to paint a grand master piece until now.
The medium of this painting, I would like a visual of how I really saw the mountain of Light I have visited, I would like to paint by my own barehands as an old traditional way and be blessed and praise Allah (Elohim) himself with my miracle hand to paint the most amazing beautiful grand piece. When I started this painting, I wanted to be as realistic as possible, so that viewers who have visited the Mountain of Light before can see the path as accurately as possible. I also realised that there is a message in front of what you are seeing in this painting, and most of us can read it. It is the name of the area in the Mountain of Light where the greatest of all Mankind (Peace and blessings be upon him) had his first revelation.
