Sarah is an emerging Artist specialising in Collage and Photography. Her work is influenced by her heritage of Ghanaian and Indian which makes her pieces both colourful and bold. Sarah was brought up in the Notting Hill area of London and the creative buzz and working on the famous Portobello Market has informed her practice.

Having an interest in art, fashion and colour Sarah has been able to use all three interests to produce bright and bold collages. Her interest in shapes and how they can fit together to form patterns can also be seen in her work.

Her main aim is to make pieces of work that are accessible to all. Having worked in the community with people with disabilities and Mental Health issues this is of the utmost importance to her. The accessibility of all people to art is close to Sarah's heart.

Sarah is currently exhibiting with The Holy Art Gallery and also the Barbagelata Contemporary Art Foundation at present.

Biography

Sarah was born in 1985 in the area of Notting Hill to parents of Ghaianaian and Indian/Burmese heritage. She grew up in the area often shopping in Portobello Road Market. She attended local primary and secondary schools which she enjoyed immensely. Living in an area with a strong creative community exposed her to Street art, fashion and other forms of expression.

Sarah studied Art and English Literature until Advanced Level. Her personal circumstances meant that she was not able to take her studies further in the area of Art but she always still remained creative making things for friends and family and creating a catalogue for her market stall.

Recently after working in the area of Administration and Health and Social Care Sarah decided to follow her passion of creating art. Since 2021 she has been creating unique collages in her own style using colour effectively and since 2023 actively uploading onto Instagram. Sarah also enjoys Photography and editing images. She participates in exhibitions and continues to aim to gain further worldwide exposure.
