Michał Jackowski - artist sculptor, born on September 14, 1978 in Białystok. In 2003, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw with a master's degree in art. For over 15 years, in his studio in Białystok, he has been creating small sculptural forms, as well as realizing monument solutions, sacred interiors and realizing projects for urban spaces. The sculptor from Białystok often emphasizes that his work is inspired by his family and the relationships that arise in it. And there are many of them, because together with his wife and seven children they create a unique collection of personalities.
In 2017, his series of works entitled Antique Games was presented at the Florence International Art Biennale and was awarded with two prizes. In 2018, the artist's works were featured at exhibitions and art shows in London, Zurich, Como, and Basel at ArtBaselWeek. In 2019, they won two awards in Rome, during the Artrooms Roma show, where Jackowski qualified as one of 40 artists selected by an international jury from over 1,000 applicants.
The year 2019 brought two more awards at the international exhibition in London, where Jackowski was honored with the Artlove.uk institution, and Vastari and invited to cooperation by the famous international Contini gallery - Cris Contini Contemporary. From 2020, the gallery begins cooperation with the artist in England, Italy, France, Germany and Switzerland. The culmination of 2019 is a large exhibition in Poland, at the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic under the patronage of the Sultanate of OMAN, which delegated official representatives to this event. The artist is preparing currently three large projects for the public spaces of Muscat, the capital of Oman.
Also in 2019, Jackowski's works, as one of the few Poles, were presented in Miami at the Scope International Art Exhibition during the ArtBasel Miami Week and were purchased for American and Mexican private collections.
In 2020, he received the Artistic Award of the President of the City of Białystok for the entirety of his creative work so far.In 2022, he represents the country in the Polish Pavilion at the international exhibition Nordart 2022 in Budelsdorf, Germany.
