Biography
Lisa Oakes is a San Antonio artist, from the DFW area, with an educational background is in the field of psychological research. While working as a researcher and data analyst full-time, she currently tends to reserve time for art in the evenings and on weekends. She has participated in several group art shows in Ft. Worth, Dallas, and San Antonio over the years. Her work has been sold to collectors across the US, as well as Canada, New Zealand, Russia, and Finland. She plans to pursue a BFA degree beginning in Fall of 2024, in order to grow and challenge herself within her artistic craft. From there, she plans to continue working as an artist, while hopefully also working in a career role that enables her to balance both sides of her creative and analytical nature.
