Dear Madam or Sir,
I am sure you receive a multitude of requests quite similar to this one but never the less I wanted to reach and ask if you are a society for just soft, pan and pencil pastels or if you include oil pastels.  I consider myself (braggadocios as it may be) the best oil pastel artist in art.  My pieces have hung and do hang in museums, galleries and public buildings throughout the state of Pennsylvania and many current professional artists have loved my work but understand that my medium is quite unique and suggested that I attempt to find and write an organization that specializes in oil pastels and ask if my work in oil pastels “stacks up” to the best and if I would be able to become an active member.  I know it is a shot in the dark but below are two oil pastel pieces of mine, a still life and a landscape. I also enclosed my most current magazine article.  If this email finds its way to you and you could respond that would be wonderful.  Thank you in advance.
