The creative process of my work born from life and travel experiences. My artistic path is like a long jouney in search of myself and existential answers. I travel a lot looking for sources of inspiration for my artistic repertoire. I use oil and gouache techniques and supports such as canvas and paper. I use also photography to capture images to be reworked through artistic techniques. Over the years my artistic practice has passed through different stages and evolutions due to personal and professional experiences. During my artistic activity, painting, writing and photography are closely connected, since in my imagery, the creative process is a flow that sweeps towards different artistic forms merging in a poetic vision of existence. My pictorial and photographic collections summarize my artistic research. My production is mostly focused on the theme of nature and related environmental issues, since childhood, when after a trip to Africa I suffered from a strong pain of Africa. At the age of eleven, that first contact with African nature aroused emotions that have deeply affected my existential perspective. For this reason I have tried to give a social meaning to my work by engaging in the preservation of the environment and in the fight against climate change. In painting I have always been interested also to the exploration of the human body and to the representation of unconscious content that influence the human expression. I use to paint historical portraits inspired by myths and archetypes of ancient peoples and cultures but also subjetcs taken from daily life. These figures often stand out from a neutral background to focus all the attention on the subject. They are generally depicted in hermetic expressions and twisted postures to emphasize the need for psychological introspection. In the last production I explore the concepts of human resilience and social diversitiy through the body expression and its capacity to adapt and resist adversity.

Primitive man

Artwork made with gouache on paper belonging to the pictorial collection titlled "Armored corps". The title of the collection refers to the human body as a protective shell. The collection marks a return to the previous style of the artist by referring to the collection "Twilight" but also a return to the centrality of the human figure, focused in particular on the male universe. The source of inspiration comes from the drawing from life and from the observation from the sculpture of Greco-Roman ancestry. The subjects aim to reproduce the concept of "introjection", through the representation of figures folded on themselves that describe innate fears, mechanisms of defense to the outside when the body becomes a fortress in which to take refuge, simulacrum, protection of hisself.
