Biography

Through the medium of paint Frankie’s work explores the body and life as a performance, and the ideology that the human existence itself is a form of contemporary art, rendering us all performers on the world’s stage.

Inspired to create by the works of Stuart Pearson Wright and René Magritte, and enamoured by the way people choose to present themselves she paints exaggerated forms, all inspired by people she has encountered in her life who have captivated her.

Ever since she was a pre-adolescent she has been fascinated by the essential unreality of the mind. What starts out as contemplation soon becomes debased into a carnival of power, leaving only a sense of failing and the chance of a new reality and new identity.
