Nina B

Nina Bumbalkova is a Czech born London-based visual artist working across photography and

moving image. Her practice is grounded in documentary observation and visual research, exploring

themes of memory, identity, and place through long-term, process-driven work. She is particularly

interested in how personal and collective histories are shaped by landscape, cultural transition, and

shared experience.

Working between still and moving image, Bumbalkova often blurs the boundaries between

cinematic and photographic forms. Light, rhythm, and duration play a central role in her visual

language, with an emphasis on quiet observation rather than overt narration. She frequently works
