Matty Roodt (b. 1989) is an interdisciplinary artist trying to master visual and experiential storytelling in various applications ranging from curating to creating films. They have organised and curated many independent group exhibitions and have been practising as a contemporary artist for over 10 years. The focus of their practice has shifted toward filmmaking and its peripheral guises. Matty sees her works as instances of poems, anecdotes and jokes. Transcendental, imaginative and sometimes laced with a peculiar sense of humour.
